Lauren Chubb

Hi there! My name is Lauren Chubb and I was born and raised in the NOVA region. I
completed all my school years with Fairfax County Public Schools since kindergarten
and I have been taking dance classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip-Hop since I was 3
years old. I graduated from George Mason University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts
Degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. After
graduating from GMU, I worked as an early childhood educator for 3 years. I then
decided to further my education in 2020 and I graduated with a Master’s Degree in
Library and Information Studies from Old Dominion University in May 2024. Throughout
my time in high school, college, and graduate school– I always found myself taking
endless dance fitness classes for hours on end every single day! In February 2024 I
then decided to become a Licensed Zumba Fitness Instructor and I have been teaching
Zumba classes in various gyms, fitness centers, and community REC centers across
the Northern VA region ever since. I am fluent in both English and Spanish. In my
spare time, I love to create dance choreography, compose music, and enjoy nature.
This is a dream come true to work with Kids in Motion since it combines both my
passion for Elementary Education with my joy for instructing dance!
